The Terms of Business | Service Agreement Template is a template document designed to be used by businesses who provide a service to clients.

The business terms and conditions template sets out the scope of services, payment terms, intellectual property (or IP) ownership, confidentiality and protects the liability of the business owner.

These terms may be adapted specifically for each of your clients by using the schedule (table) at the front of the document. Additionally, you can use the template terms of business in an online form or payment booking online, such as being added to either a Xero quote or a website and a hyperlink to the terms provided where clients book the business online and or pay online.

The Microsoft Word document is yours to keep. Ensure you keep a master copy and use the “save as” function to create your document by adding your details as follows:

·       complete the relevant information in red text including business name, ABN, your state or territory (governing law) and details on the services you will provide and your fees; and

·       add your logo; and

·       make sure you don’t forget to personalise the signing pages.

This document can be used by almost any industry and any business that provides services, either to other businesses (business to business/ B2B or business to client / B2C) can use the Terms of Business Template in Australia.

This includes consultants, independent contractors, freelancers, professionals or experts in their field. If you have a specific business, such as a VA business or an OT business, we also have industry-specific agreements in our shop.

Further, there are some things we have included such as 30 days notice to terminate etc - if this is not suitable, you can change the days notice and default interest rate etc to suit you. But do make sure you don’t muck with the drafting of the clauses as these have been drafted by a lawyer for a reason.
