About the AI Disclosure and Consent for Existing Clients Email Template

The AI Disclosure and Consent for Existing Clients Template is a disclosure clause to provide to an existing client where you already have a service agreement or contract in place between you but wish to add an AI clause or disclosure to it.

This disclosure should be used to disclose your use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in your business and in relation to the client’s work.

For the purposes of this consent email:

·       AI means: the field of technology that uses computers or other technology to do things that have traditionally been done using human intelligence and includes techniques, methods and algorithms designed to imitate human reasoning, learning and decision making in a manner that resembles human intelligence.

·       Generative AI means: any type of AI that can be used to create new text, images, video, audio, code or synthetic data.

This template:

·       requires you to complete the relevant information in red text;

·       is a general template drafted for Australian laws;

·       Is drafted in email format and designed to be completed, sent to your client for agreement and then, once that agreement is received saved in electronic and/ or printed form and saved with your original service agreement and contract; and

·       Should to be provided to your existing client as an addendum to your existing contract or service agreement via email with an email acknowledgment required.
