The Speaker Agreement template is a template event speaker agreement for a speaker to use to document their agreement with an organisation they have agreed to speak to.
The agreement requires you to complete your details and the event details in the schedule and includes:
A Speaker Location to help you identify events you will charge travel expenses for;
a provision to add a cancellation fee for when events out of your control conspire to cancel the event or if the event gets called off;
consider preparation of your presentation materials;
require the event organiser to give you access to the venue and make sure you have requirements such as tech and av requirements available;
a provision to charge a deposit;
protects your intellectual property in the speaking materials and presentation materials and makes sure the organisers protect your copyright when they hand out resources to event attendees;
cover off publicity and set out requirements for extra or exclusive publicity (note you should ensure you charge more if exclusivity is required); and
sets out how either party may end the agreement.
